Still interested in playing and searching for a new NFL opportunity, veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs remains confident he can help a team in 2026. In fact, Diggs is so confident in his abilities that he made a bold proclamation in a video he shared on his YouTube channel.
Even though the 32-year-old four-time Pro Bowler is willing to take a step back from arguing he's the best in the game, he firmly believes there's no one better as far as second options.
"My opinion, I can compete with anybody," said Diggs. "But take those [top wide receivers] as your 1s, right? You can't name a No. 2 better than me."
Giving all 32 teams the benefit of the doubt about having a legitimate No. 1 receiver, Diggs elaborated more about why he can be right there above the next crop of targets across the league.
"There's not a No. 2 on a team -- let's presumably give people the credit and just say, 'OK, you want to take the No. 1 spot away,'" he added. "Name your No. 2 receiver right now, and tell me how much he makes, and then my last question is: Is he better than me?"

And while those are big words for an older player compared to younger talent ascending into No. 2s, Diggs' argument is supported by his production. He's coming off a season in 2025 that saw him return to form after an up-and-down, injury-plagued 2024.
He caught 85 passes, registered 1,013 yards and scored four touchdowns for the eventual AFC champion New England Patriots. But despite his strong play, the Patriots released him in March and have since traded for A.J. Brown in an effort to take their offense to a new level moving forward.
And as the model of consistency when fully healthy, Diggs put up six straight seasons with over 1,000 yards from 2018-23. But no matter where Diggs lands and how he plays throughout the rest of his career, he's already vastly exceeded his value as the Minnesota Vikings' fifth-round pick in 2015.
In 161 NFL games, Diggs has 942 receptions, 11,504 yards and 74 touchdowns. Diggs has reason to be confident in himself, and there are plenty of teams that could use a player hungry to prove himself and continue making his case for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
