Becky Hammon moves up on all-time list after Aces' latest win

After a stellar career as a player, Becky Hammon spent seven years with the San Antonio Spurs under Gregg Popovich at the NBA level. Learning from a legendary coach helped her become one herself.

And since her return to the WNBA in 2022 to take over the Las Vegas Aces, Hammon has put together a resume that already has her established as one of the greatest and most accomplished coaches in league history. She enhanced her career coaching resume even more on Monday night.

Becky Hammon moved up the WNBA's all-time wins list on Monday

The Aces latest dominant win, a 109-83 victory over the Toronto Tempo, propelled Hammon up an important all-time list.

She moved out of a three-way tie with Richie Adubato and Pokey Chatman to claim sole possession of 13th place on the WNBA's career wins list. Hammon now owns 135 wins. She's five wins away from cracking the top 12.

Hammon has won over 75% of her games as a head coach

In the middle of just her fifth season at the helm, Hammon has won an at an eye-popping .757% clip (135 out of 185 games) to this point. And she's accomplished far more than rack up regular wins, too.

Hammon has already led a dynasty, having guided the Aces to three WNBA titles, including back-to-back crowns in her first seasons on the sideline. The Aces also won the championship last season and are among the favorites to repeat again this year.

Hammon has the Aces ready to make a run at another championship

With A'Ja Wilson still on top of her game, the Aces are poised for another deep run. However, playing in the much tougher Western Conference has Las Vegas two games behind the Minnesota Lynx in the standings.

But no matter what happens throughout the rest of this season, Hammon, already a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, has reached a point that she's just polishing off a coaching career that already stands as one of the best ever.
