Mike Tomlin has one warning for Mike Vrabel's Patriots amid Dianna Russini controversy

Months ago, New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel made the rounds for all the wrong reasons.

He was caught on an alleged romantic getaway with NFL insider Dianna Russini, and it didn't take long for internet detectives and multiple outlets to find evidence of their alleged relationship dating back to Vrabel's days with the Tennessee Titans.

Vrabel initially denied the allegations before seemingly owning them, but he's now fully focused on his team's training camp. The scandal has finally cooled off.

Nevertheless, former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin doesn't think Vrabel will be able to hide for long. Making his debut on NBC's "Football in America" during the Hall of Fame game, Tomlin warned his former colleague.

“When games start, winning matters. So if they get off to a fast start, they've got a chance to quiet some of that noise,” Tomlin said. “If they don't, that noise could get extremely loud.”

Tomlin has a valid point right there. With no further updates and other teams to focus on, the fans haven't really brought Russini up again.

That said, it won't be long before the jokes flood social media again if Vrabel's Patriots struggle this season.

The Internet never forgets, and social media can be pretty ruthless. Of course, that shouldn't be near the top of the list of priorities for Vrabel and the Patriots next season, but ignoring the elephant in the room would be naive and irresponsible.

No one has the right to talk about other people's love lives, and whatever happened (if anything) there is nobody's business but theirs and their spouses'.

That said, a lot comes with being a public figure, and the haters will always have some ammo against Vrabel if he's not on his Ps and Qs.
