Alex Rodriguez calls out Yankees front office after trade deadline

The New York Yankees made just a few minor moves at the MLB trade deadline, and former All-Star Alex Rodriguez wasn’t too happy with that.

On Tuesday, Rodriguez joined “The Michael Kay Show,” and the former Yankees slugger said this was the time for the front office to go “all-in.”

“The bigger question is why not go all-in now, or in the next year or two, because [Aaron] Judge is gonna be 35 [on] Opening Day next year and….

"You want one of the greatest players in our generation to have more than one crack at [the World Series] vs. one World Series he had a couple years ago,” Rodriguez said.

The Yankees traded away reliever Camilo Doval to the Pittsburgh Pirates, but their biggest acquisition was landing Washington Nationals slugger Luis Garcia Jr.

The only other addition was landing San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos, and fans certainly were hoping for more splashy moves in order to make a World Series push.

Entering Wednesday, the Yankees are 67-52, but they remain six games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the American League East.
