Will Wade and LSU land UCLA transfer guard Skyy Clark

The LSU Tigers and head men's basketball coach Will Wade have added a veteran piece for the 2026-27 season.

LSU reached into the transfer portal and came away with Skyy Clark, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound guard originally from Los Angeles, California.

Clark will bring plenty of experience to the table for the Tigers, and his experience is a spot-on example of the topsy-turvy world of college athletics in this era.

The former star recruit will be playing in his fifth college season and for his fourth college program.

He committed to Illinois out of high school and then transferred to Louisville for the 2023-24 season. 

From Louisville, Clark went back home to Los Angeles to play for the UCLA Bruins.

He'll spend his final year of eligibility with the Tigers. He gained that eligibility due to the injunction against the NCAA that specifically relates to the new 5-in-5 eligibility rule. Many recruits from the class of 2022, despite having already played four seasons, are jumping back in for a fifth because of this lawsuit.
