Jeremiyah Love compared to legendary RB Adrian Peterson after NFL debut

Jeremiyah Love is one of the most exciting running back prospects to enter the NFL in a long time. The Arizona Cardinals took him with the third pick in the draft earlier this year, the highest selection at his position since Saquon Barkley was taken at No. 2 in 2018.

Love put up nice yardage totals in college with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish — 2,882 yards across three seasons — but bursting into the end zone was his bread and butter. He rushed for 36 touchdowns altogether, and his NFL debut inspired confidence that he can have that same impact at the next level.

Arizona traveled to play the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night, and while quarterback Fernando Mendoza was the headliner, Love made his presence felt. He received a surprisingly heavy workload for a preseason game, carrying the ball 11 times for 58 yards to go along with three catches for 14 yards.

The unanimous All-American had his full arsenal on display, spinning off defenders and attempting to hurdle another. Love’s play didn’t go unnoticed, and numerous people compared him to legendary running back Adrian Peterson. One-time Pro Bowl running back Jonathan Stewart was the most notable among them.
