Joey Logano has won two of the last four NASCAR Cup Series races, working his way back into title contention seemingly out of nowhere, as he tends to do.
But you won't find Logano and the No. 22 Team Penske group resting on their laurels as the circuit heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend.
"I know one thing of course, it swings really, really quick," Logano said Tuesday on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. "We just experienced that. So, it's important for us to keep our head down and keep digging at this moment, not get too excited or, as Roger [Penske] says, don't trip on your press clippings."
At the end of June, Logano was 20th in the series standings. He's worked his way up to ninth with two races left in the regular season and has plenty of momentum heading into the Chase.
"It's been a heck of a recovery," Logano said. "More of a recovery than I predicted we could do. But I'm pretty proud of everybody that kept sticking together and working hard and finding a little here and a little there. Whether it's in themselves, myself, the car itself, all those things together is really what's helped turn it around."
With a pair of great tracks for Logano and Team Penske coming up to close the regular season at New Hampshire and Daytona, the three-time champion may have a chance to rise even further in the standings. He's only 55 points out of fifth going into the 25th race of the 2026 season.
