Tyler Reddick was very unhappy with his No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota Camry during NASCAR Cup Series practice on Saturday morning at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but found enough speed to take his fifth pole of the 2026 season and the 16th of his Cup career.
Reddick laid down a lap of 29.054 seconds/131.094 miles per hour around the one-mile oval to snatch the top spot from Josh Berry.
"I was really unhappy," Reddick told truTV. "I can't recall a practice I've complained like that. We figured out what we need to try and work on, obviously. We just didn't get an opportunity in practice to lay down a lap in clean air. Just had to commit."
Berry, William Byron, Denny Hamlin and Shane van Gisbergen rounded out the top five, with Christopher Bell, Ty Gibbs, defending NHMS winner Ryan Blaney, defending series champion Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman completing the top 10.
Other notable qualifying efforts include Erik Jones, who was fastest in practice in 11th, Chase Briscoe in 17th, Ryan Preece in 18th, Richmond winner Joey Logano in 21st and Bubba Wallace in 23rd.
Daniel Suarez got very loose on the exits of turns 2 and 4 but held onto his car, qualifying 35th. Cody Ware was last (36th) in qualifying, turning a lap of only 29.822 seconds/127.718 miles per hour.
Sunday's Dollar Tree 301 will go green shortly after 2 p.m. ET, with coverage on USA Network, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
