Following Saturday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at New Hampshire, the 10-driver Truck Series Chase field is set. Here are the 10 drivers who will race for a championship over the final seven races of the 2026 season, beginning on Sept. 17 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
1. Layne Riggs (+25)
Season stats: 6 wins, 10 top-fives, 11 top-10s, 598 laps led
The overwhelming title favorite, Riggs won at New Hampshire on Saturday and has all the momentum in the world as the series prepares for three weeks off. It sounds like he'll have another chance to race for a Truck title next season, but he has an excellent shot to win it this year.
2. Kaden Honeycutt (-25)
Season stats: 2 wins, 11 top-fives, 13 top-10s, 319 laps led
Honeycutt could have four or five wins this season but has still mostly kept up with Riggs. After winning the championship with Corey Heim last year, the No. 11 TRICON Garage group hasn't missed a beat in 2026.
3. Chandler Smith (-35)
Season stats: 2 wins, 9 top-fives, 12 top-10s, 145 laps led
Smith seems like the last driver in the category of Chase contenders with a great shot to win a championship. Aside from Riggs and Honeycutt, he's the only full-time driver to win multiple Truck Series races this season, and his No. 38 truck rolls out of the same Front Row Motorsports stable as Riggs' No. 34 machines.
4. Christian Eckes (-40)
Season stats: 0 wins, 6 top-fives, 11 top-10s, 173 laps led
Eckes hasn't been to victory lane yet this season but was consistent enough to finish fourth in the regular season. He'll need a race or two over the next seven to make a run at the championship.
5. Gio Ruggiero (-45)
Season stats: 0 wins, 4 top-fives, 9 top-10s, 59 laps led
There have been times like Saturday at New Hampshire when Ruggiero is in winning contention. But mistakes like the one he made on Saturday can't be made if the No. 17 team is to go into Homestead within striking distance of a championship.

6. Ty Majeski (-50)
Season stats: 0 wins, 5 top-fives, 8 top-10s
2026 has been a topsy-turvy year for the 2024 Truck Series champion. Like Eckes, Majeski and the No. 88 team have yet to show consistent winning speed and will need to do so to make a serious run at the championship.
7. Grant Enfinger (-55)
Season stats: 1 win, 3 top-fives, 5 top-10s
Enfinger did scratch across a surprising road course win at Lime Rock Park, but the No. 9 team has still taken a step back this season. It'd be a solid year if he can climb into the top five in the standings by the end of the season.
8. Daniel Hemric (-60)
Season stats: 0 wins, 2 top-fives, 8 top-10s
Hemric at least won a race during the 2025 regular season but did not do so this year. His experience should come in handy during the Chase, but it's hard to imagine the No. 19 team doing much in the postseason given their lack of top-five speed over the first 18 races.
9. Ben Rhodes (-65)
Season stats: 0 wins, 4 top-fives, 5 top-10s
Rhodes won the Truck Series championship in 2021 and 2023 seemingly out of nowhere. Can he do the same thing this year? It's possible, but the No. 99 team has been radio silent for 2/3 of the campaign so far. It'd take a huge turnaround.
10. Tyler Ankrum (-70)
Season stats: 0 wins, 1 top-five, 5 top-10s
Ankrum deserves his flowers for dragging a truck with hardly any brakes to a 16th-place finish and into the Chase on Saturday at New Hampshire, but he's the weakest of the 10 Chase drivers and likely won't make much noise over the next seven races.
