Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe is already dealing with an injury, and the regular season hasn’t even started.
On Monday, it was announced that Sharpe suffered a torn right meniscus during an individual workout. ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the news and gave the six-month timeline, although a team source said they will wait to see more details before giving a firm timeline.

Still, regardless of the recovery timeline, Sharpe will miss at least a few months due to the surgery.
Sharpe is entering his fifth season in the NBA. He averaged a career-high 20.8 points per game in 2025-26, along with 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
Shaedon Sharpe played 50 games last season, and he missed a month after suffering a calf strain toward the end of February.
Portland has undergone some big changes this offseason, including Micah Nori being named the new head coach, although he was given just a one-year deal.
The Trail Blazers also acquired Ja Morant in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Sharpe was expected to be a key piece of the rotation, so this will change things considerably going into the preseason.
