Micah Parsons doesn't want to rush back from the torn ACL he suffered in December 2025.
The Green Bay Packers don't want Parsons to rush back either. They invested $136 million of guaranteed money into Parsons when they traded for him from the Dallas Cowboys. That's not to mention the two first-round picks and star defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
It was a blockbuster trade for the Packers, and they made it with the future in mind. They believe Parsons can keep them competitive for a Super Bowl for the next few seasons.
That was proved right in 14 games last season. Before tearing his ACL, he notched 79 total pressures as a pass-rusher, including 12.5 sacks, 51 hurries, 14 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles.
The Packers have a superstar in Parsons. He must be healthy, and that's why he's not rushing back. That's not to say he's not making progress, though.
"I'm not going to lie, the rehab is going really good," Parsons told Bleacher Report. "We're getting stronger. We're moving a little bit now. We're running. We're starting to change direction. It's coming along."

There's been a lot of talk about Parsons making it back in time for the Week 6 matchup against the Cowboys. That makes sense for storyline reasons, and the Packers would like to get him back sooner rather than later.
Week 6 is a goal for Parsons, too, but he's not going to set that in stone.
"The people really want Week 6. I just want to come back when I'm feeling like myself again," Parsons said.
He did admit that Week 6 would be an optimistic timeline for his return, but whenever he comes back, he promised fans that he'll be 100 percent ready to go.
"Packer Nation, just know when I come back, it's going to be up," he said.
