NASCAR officially announces 2027 schedule for top three series

While dates for 2027 race weekends have been steadily released in recent weeks, NASCAR on Wednesday officially announced the 2027 schedule for the NASCAR Cup Series, O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and Craftsman Truck Series. 

The Cup Series season will begin with the exhibition Clash at Daytona on Feb. 13, while the 69th Daytona 500 will officially open the 2027 campaign on Feb. 21. The Cup Series' two off weekends are Easter Sunday (March 28) and Aug. 8.

Notable returnees on the schedule include Chicagoland Speedway (June 27) and Naval Base Coronado (Aug. 1). Iowa Speedway will host the Cup Series race on July 4 next year, while the Southern 500 at Darlington on Sept. 5 will serve as the regular season finale. After hosting the All-Star Race this year, Dover will have a points race again in 2027 on May 16. The All-Star Race will be at North Wilkesboro next year on May 23.

The Cup Series Chase will begin at Richmond Raceway on Sept. 11, with Watkins Glen (Sept. 19) and New Hampshire (Sept. 26) moving back into postseason slots. The Bristol Night Race (Aug. 14) and Gateway (Aug. 22) will move back into the regular season. 

The 2027 Cup Series season will conclude at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 14. 

What O'Reilly, Truck schedules look like

The O'Reilly Series will begin its 2027 campaign on Feb. 20 at Daytona, with its first off weekend coming on March 27. The series will also be off on May 8, June 19, July 17, Aug. 6, and Sept. 25. 

Darlington on Sept. 4 will be the NOAPS regular season finale, with the Chase also beginning at Richmond on Sept. 10. The series will conclude its 2027 season at Homestead on Nov. 13. 

The O'Reilly Series will also return to Coronado on July 31 and race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 22. Rockingham and the May race at Kansas Speedway are not on the 2027 schedule as they were this year, nor is a second race at Atlanta. The series' March 13 race at Phoenix will come on the same day as the NTT IndyCar Series race at the one-mile track as part of a second-consecutive NASCAR-IndyCar doubleheader weekend at the Avondale, Ariz., venue.

The 2027 Truck Series calendar will open at Daytona on Feb. 19, with a nearly month-long break from March 6 to April 2. The Truck Series will not return to Rockingham or Naval Base Coronado, though it will host the only international race on the NASCAR calendar when it races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sept. 5. The series will also return to Pocono (June 11) and Lime Rock Park (July 10) while racing for a second time at Atlanta during the summer on July 17. 

The Truck Series will also return to the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla., on March 6 as part of a doubleheader weekend with IndyCar. 

Perhaps the most notable addition to the Truck Series schedule is Bowman Gray Stadium, where the series will make its debut on Aug. 20.

Canadian Tire will serve as the Truck Series regular season finale, with the 2027 Truck Chase beginning at New Hampshire on Sept. 25. The 2027 Truck Series campaign will conclude at Homestead on Nov. 12.
