Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant has never had a problem with voicing his opinions. For years, he would get into back-and-forth arguments with fans on social media and talk about the hottest topics in the sport.
He now has his own company called Boardroom, which is a sports media network that discusses hot topics around the sports world and the business side of things. In the most recent video on the company’s YouTube channel, Durant was interviewed on a variety of topics including future Hall of Fame forward LeBron James joining the Philadelphia 76ers.
When asked what he thought of the move, the former MVP wasted no time expressing how good he thinks the team will be.
“That’s gonna be a juggernaut, that’s what I think… [James] knows how to put a winning basketball team together,” said Durant.

He went on to describe why the four-time champion has been so successful at putting squads together quickly and getting all his teammates on the same page. The Rockets star was then asked if he truly thinks the 76ers will work together, and the answer was a resounding yes.
“Yes. I think there’s no ifs, ands or buts about it. You have to realize they also have a championship-winning coach,” said Durant.
The former MVP knows all about winning with a newly built team, having won back-to-back championships with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018.
It’s a difficult feat to pull off, but he believes James has the intelligence and experience to carve out roles for everyone on the team and lead them to excellence. It will take a lot of sacrifice and chemistry building for the 76ers to reach their potential, and who better to initiate those changes than one of the greatest leaders in league history?
