Mike Tomlin linked to multiple NFL head coaching jobs ahead of Week 1

Mike Tomlin walked away from the Pittsburgh Steelers somewhat on his own terms.

While it's been a long time since his last playoff win, he left the game without a single losing season and with a strong résumé.

In fact, Tomlin would probably be the No. 1 candidate for most head coaching positions in the league right now.

Considering that, Bleacher Report's Moe Moton listed multiple destinations as the best potential fit for Tomlin's return.

At least 5 teams could use Mike Tomlin 

In his latest article, Moton listed the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Washington Commanders as the best potential fits for what feels like it'll be an imminent return to the sidelines.

Watching the Panthers fire head coach Dave Canales early on in the season would certainly be a surprise, though the rest of the list certainly seems to be on the hot seat.

That said, it might take a lot to convince the Steelers legend to return to the grind of the pros. 

Mike Tomlin is happy in retirement

"I am having the time of my life to be quite honest with you," Tomlin said on "The Dan Patrick Show." "I've never had an August, man, since I was like 8 years old. I've always been on a football team and in a camp-like setting of some description. August was great. I can't wait to see what September is like."
