Denny Hamlin calls Spire Motorsports 'unserious' after Carson Hocevar's latest run-in

Carson Hocevar was in the headlines again on Sunday at Darlington Raceway after spinning Brad Keselowski in Stage 1 of the Southern 500.

Keselowski was none too happy with the fellow Michigan native, saying that Hocevar's "day is coming".

On Monday's episode of "Actions Detrimental", Denny Hamlin said that he didn't want to talk more about Hocevar, but he did lambast the organization Hocevar drives for.

What Denny Hamlin thinks of Spire Motorsports

"You want me to talk about Spire? I'll talk about Spire," Hamlin said. "There's no adults in the room. Clearly, in that building, no adults. That's my opinion. Because, how can you honestly think that's what's best for your company if you're running a serious organization? I think they're unserious."

Hamlin had previously been asked about his opinion of the incident between Hocevar and Keselowski.

"Carson wrecked Brad," he said plainly. "Anything else?"

Hamlin is far from the only individual in the NASCAR industry to question Spire Motorsports and its leaders in regard to Hocevar's behavior. 2027 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Jeff Burton said that Spire doesn't seem to care about what Hocevar does on track.

Whether or not Keselowski follows through on his promise to pay Hocevar back remains to be seen, but Hocevar's path to the 2026 Cup Series championship won't get any easier if he continues to make enemies.
