Tyreek Hill's agent provides big injury update ahead of Week 1

With the start of the 2026 NFL season just around the corner, former Super Bowl champion Tyreek Hill is still a free agent.

As expected, the rebuilding Miami Dolphins cut ties with him after last season, and he's still working his way back from a gruesome and career-threatening knee injury. Despite some speculation, Hill won't be ready for Week 1, but he's still aiming to return at some point this season.

In an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, revealed that some teams have reached out, though he won't get back out there until he's fully confident in his recovery.

Tyreek Hill won't cut any corners in his recovery

“Tyreek Hill looks amazing but we’re playing it on the safe side and we’re not in a rush,” Rosenhaus said. “There’s a ton of interest but we wanna make sure that he’s 100% good to go.”

Not many 32-year-olds would be able to come back from an ACL and LCL tear, but Hill's not like the average player. That said, given all the distractions off the field he also brings to the table, teams looking to add him to the mix will have to be extremely confident in his ability to perform at a high level.

That said, Hill will most likely have to take a huge pay cut to get another chance to walk away from the game on his own terms. And after teasing about a return to the Kansas City Chiefs so many times since he left Missouri, it continues to sound like the most logical landing spot for him, especially given their own concerns at wide receiver.
