Angel Reese opens up on playing with Caitlin Clark for Team USA

Throughout the course of the year and dating back to their days in college, Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have been fearless foes on the court.

Reese got the best of Clark in the national championship game, and they've gone back and forth multiple times in the WNBA. In fact, their rivalry has transcended the court, with WNBA fans pushing to make it their version of Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird, sometimes to a fault.

However, as much as they don't seem to like each other on the court, it looks like they're willing to squash the beef for the greater good. They're leading the way for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup, and Reese knows that working on their on-court chemistry is a must, given that they'll continue to represent the country for years to come.

Angel Reese opens up on chemistry with Caitlin Clark

"We've played against each other so many times that I'm sure we know each other's game like the back of each other's hand," Reese said postgame. "So it's fun. We just continue to build chemistry because we know we're going to be USA teammates for a while."

To be fair, neither Reese nor Clark has ever had anything negative to say about the other. Yes, they've starred in some epic battles, but they don't even play the same position. It's always been the fans and the media trying to push narratives that might not be the facts.

Regardless, that's the best and most mature way to approach this situation. Even if they don't like each other, which, again, is mere speculation, they have to team up for the greater good.

Clark may go down as the greatest shooter in WNBA history, and Reese is already taking huge steps toward becoming the best rebounder of all time. This definitely won't be the last time they team up for their country, so they might as well enjoy the ride.
