Caitlin Clark has powerful message after Team USA World Cup title

Team USA has lots to celebrate after the team's win over France in the FIBA World Cup, because that win secured the Americans the World Cup title for a fifth year in a row.

Even though they're owning this title over and over again, they're soaking in the victory. It never gets old to win.

Team USA defeated France 97-79 to win that World Cup gold. Breanna Stewart led the team with 22 points and 9-10 rebounds, but it was really a team effort. Jackie Young finished with 18 points, six rebounds and five assists; Kahleah Copper had 15 points, and Caitlin Clark and Chelsea Gray both scored 12 points apiece. It was a chance to see players that are usually against each other in the WNBA join up for the USA.

After the game, Clark expressed how proud she was of this team. She said that this team was "never rattled" and knew what it could do.

"I think we felt really good about where we were at," Clark said, according to the AP. "I think France was 8 for 14 (from 3-point range). We dug ourselves a hole, but we climbed out of it, and I felt like we were never rattled by anything."

Clark also had glowing things to say about Stewart and her blockbuster performance.

"Stewie's a winner. All she ever does is win," she said, according to ESPN. "She's been in so many of these moments, and when you have somebody like that on your team, it's just a really comforting thing."

Now, Clark has just a few days to rest up before the Indiana Fever head into their final stretch of the regular season. Their next game is on Friday against the Toronto Tempo.
