Eagles receive brutal Landon Dickerson injury news that explains offensive line struggles in Week 1

The Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line was a disaster against the Washington Commanders in Week 1, with left guard Landon Dickerson at the forefront of those struggles. Dickerson allowed multiple quick pressures and didn't look like his usual self all game, and now we know why.

On Monday, the Eagles placed Dickerson on injured reserve, as first reported by Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The Alabama product has been dealing with "various ailments" for weeks, and that showed up on his game tape in Week 1. 

Jon Richie of 94WIP, who was on the sidelines when the Eagles ran onto the field on Sunday, noticed that Dickerson looked hobbled before the game even started.

"There was something clearly wrong," Richie said on air Monday. "There was something clearly amiss with the way he was gingerly... I don't even want to call it running. It was, like, wobbling out from the tunnel."

Throughout the game, Dickerson looked slow-footed and lost against Washington's defensive line. Don't take it from us, though. Take it from the man himself.

"I played like s--- yesterday," Dickerson said on the 94WIP radio station on Monday. "I was a complete liability yesterday, and that was my fault. I know I said earlier in camp I shouldn't be out there until I feel healthy. A few weeks ago, I got rolled up on in practice. I thought as weeks went by it would get better, and it didn't."
