Injury status of Bills' DJ Moore revealed after scary landing on 'TNF'

The Buffalo Bills got a bit of an injury scare Thursday night in their 41-31 win over the Detroit Lions.

Late in the first half, wide receiver DJ Moore landed hard on his shoulder/collarbone area with the extra weight of a Lions defender on top of him. At the time, it looked like a serious injury for Moore, and his status has now been revealed.

DJ Moore avoided a serious injury

According to ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter, Moore did suffer a shoulder injury in Thursday's win, but doctors do not believe it to be a serious injury.

Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Moore is believed to have an AC joint sprain and while the injury should not force him to be out long term, but his status for Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers is up in the air.

DJ Moore was off to a good start in Buffalo

Moore was acquired by Buffalo from the Chicago Bears in the offseason and was expected to be the No. 1 target for superstar quarterback Josh Allen.

The duo of Allen and Moore got off to a hot start in Week 1, as they connected five times for 100 yards with a touchdown. Moore was the favorite target for Allen in Buffalo's Week 1 win, and it seemed the two would be in sync throughout the entire season.

All things considered, it appears that Moore came away with the best injury news he possibly could've gotten and it'll be worth keeping up with to see when he is able to get back on the field.
