Saturday's NASCAR Cup Series Bristol Night Race came down to two of the best young drivers in the sport in Carson Hocevar and Ty Gibbs — until they got into each other and gave the race away.
As Hocevar and Gibbs faded, three-time champion Joey Logano slipped underneath both of them and won Saturday's race, vaulting himself to third in the standings, only 16 points back of leader Kyle Larson.
The victory is the third of 2026 for Logano, who was 20th in the standings at the end of June but rallied late in the summer to make the Chase.
Larson nipped Hocevar for second at the checkered flag to take the points lead, with Hocevar, Christopher Bell and Ty Gibbs rounding out the top five. Josh Berry, Bubba Wallace, Denny Hamlin — who lost the points lead — William Byron and Ryan Preece completed the top 10.
