As expected, the San Francisco 49ers didn't find much trouble getting past the new-look Miami Dolphins.
However, even in wins, Kyle Shanahan's team still gets bad news about its players.
The 49ers lost Demarcus Robinson with a high-ankle injury; he didn't return after leaving in the second quarter. Then, if that wasn't bad enough, Mike Evans left in the fourth quarter with a hip injury.
At least, it looks like the 49ers dodged a big bullet with the veteran wideout, who's unlikely to miss time because of the ailment.
It just didn't make sense to put him at risk with the game already out of reach.
"It can always change tomorrow," Shanahan said (h/t ESPN). "But if the game was different, he would've been able to come back in."
That said, they'll still err on the side of caution with the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star. Per Matt Barrows of The Athletic, the coach hinted at managing his workload in practice:
"He said the team will 'manage' Mike Evans' hip injury this week. Demarcus Robinson is an IR candidate due to his high-ankle sprain," Barrows shared on X.

Robinson will now join Christian Kirk (calf) and rookie WR De'Zhaun Stribling on the Injured Reserve list. The second-rounder is expected to miss at least 10 weeks with an ankle injury.
They also lost Ricky Pearsall to a season-ending knee surgery, leaving the team with a WR corps consisting of Evans, Deebo Samuel, KhaDarel Hodge, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins.
They can always turn to Brandon Aiyuk as well, but given how he's dealt with his situation with the team, that's probably not a realistic option right now.
