Case Keenum sets Bears and NFL records with win over Eagles

Case Keenum surpassed Dave Krieg as the oldest starting quarterback in Chicago Bears history to score a rushing touchdown. Keenum also tied Ryan Fitzpatrick by winning an NFL game as the starting QB with his seventh different team. 

Keenum previously won games as the starting QB with the Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, St. Louis Rams and Houston Texans.

In his first game since 2023, Keenum completed 24 passes in 34 attempts for 247 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, with four carries for six yards and another score as the Bears beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. Keenum was previously successful against the Eagles in his NFL career.

The Bears signed Keenum to a one-year contract in 2025. Keenum re-signed with the Bears in March. They started Keenum at QB against the Eagles because starter Caleb Williams is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury and second-team signal-caller Tyson Bagent was in concussion protocol last week.
