Caitlin Clark makes WNBA history in Fever's Game 2 win over Aces

Caitlin Clark is putting on a show for the Indiana Fever's run in the playoffs.

The Fever came into Tuesday's Game 2 against the Las Vegas Aces needing to notch a win after the Aces handily won Game 1, 102-85. So, Clark and the Fever came back with a strong performance in Game 2 and a win, 99-89.

It didn't take long for Clark to make WNBA history during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, either. During the first half of the game, Clark became the first player in WNBA history to record a points-assists double-double in a single half of a playoff matchup.

Clark made that history with her 14 points and 11 assists going into halftime, which contributed four rebounds to her stats.

Caitlin Clark's history comes with a Fever Win

While making WNBA history is always something to celebrate, that wasn't even the best part of Tuesday night for the Indiana Fever. The real prize was the win. After dropping Game 1 to the Las Vegas Aces, the Fever came into Game 2 knowing they needed to respond. They did exactly that, putting together a much stronger performance and coming away with a victory.

The history-making moment made the night even sweeter, but getting back on the right track was what mattered most. Clark didn't just make a little history; she showed up when her team needed it and helped to even the series in the process. By the end of the game, Clark had clocked 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds.

The series now heads back to Las Vegas for Game 3, which is set for Michelob ULTRA Arena on Thursday.
