A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces dropped Game 2 on Tuesday in a 99-89 loss to the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. However, the story of the game was Aces star A’ja Wilson getting into a confrontation with a Fever fan on the baseline.
Wilson walked right into the stands and confronted a fan after it appeared that he shouted something at Wilson (video here).
Further details have emerged regarding what the fan said to Wilson, as one witness revealed to Joe Root of Outkick.
“It (the foul) is on you!” the fan said. Wilson then replied, “You don’t point at me.”
Wilson was visibly frustrated even after the game: “If I see a man come at me, taking steps towards me and pointing at me… I don’t give a damn what you said … It’s unacceptable.”
It was initially reported that the fan was removed from the arena, but the Fever issued a statement shortly after saying that the fan didn’t violate any Code of Conduct.

“Following a report of a comment directed toward a player, arena security spoke with the fan involved and witnesses. Security determined there was no violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, the fan was not removed from the arena. We consider the matter closed.” https://t.co/wjIzNc8BL1
Here are some more details that Joe Root obtained from a witness in the section.
“He was not obnoxious or louder than anyone else. There was never any sense of “coming at her.” He was seated by the time she was near him.”
The Aces and Fever are now tied after two games, with a crucial Game 3 taking place on Thursday in Las Vegas.
