Caitlin Clark is in the middle of a tough Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces series, and the winner will advance in the WNBA playoffs. But, of course, it's also an exciting time for Clark.
That's because Clark released her new Nike shoes on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Now, just a few hours after the release, those shoes have already made a bit of history.
Nike's Caitlin 1s are the first signature sneaker from Clark and the brand. Now, they've nearly sold out, according to a report from CNBC.
"Nike released the Caitlin 1 at 10 a.m. ET on Nike.com," Jessica Golden of CNBC states. "About an hour later, only extra-large sizes above size 15 remained. It's unclear how much inventory Nike made available."
CNBC also reports that the sneaker is nearly sold out at major retailers, including Foot Locker, Champs Sports and Hibbett.
The news comes as the Fever get ready for their Game 3 playoff game on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET in Las Vegas. If they lose this game, they go home, so it's a must-win matchup.
After the team's win over the Aces on Tuesday, Clark talked about what made the difference and what they'll do going forward.
"We diagramed the first play in the locker room, and [coach Stephanie White] told everybody I was going to make it," Clark said, according to ESPN. "So I was just trying not to let everybody down because we were all visualizing that I was going to make it. So, I needed to get the night started off right... Just staying aggressive."
