Saturday's games didn't completely shake up the AP Top 25, but there were enough surprises across college football to give voters lots to think about. A few teams held their ground near the top, while one SEC team made a huge leap and another took the poll's biggest tumble.
The biggest story was Missouri, which turned a matchup with Florida into a massive win. Meanwhile, the Gators went from one of the week's biggest vote gainers to the biggest loser in the new rankings.
Missouri was the week's biggest climber, soaring 11 spots to No. 14 after totally crushing Florida 45-17. The Tigers didn't just win; they controlled the game from the start, using a physical defense and major passing attack to make a loud statement.
It's a major change in how voters view Missouri heading into the middle portion of the season. A team that wasn't even close to the top 10 last week is suddenly sitting at No. 14, with lots of room to climb if it keeps putting together performances like this one.
Alabama also moved up, with the Crimson Tide going from No. 7 to No. 6 after taking down Mississippi State.
Florida suffered the week's largest drop, falling eight spots from No. 8 to No. 16 after Missouri's 45-17 tally. It's a sharp reversal for the Gators, who had been one of the biggest movers in the previous rankings. After entering the weekend looking like a serious SEC contender, the Gators now have lots to prove.
Iowa was another notable loser and dropped six spots from No. 14 to No. 20 after Ohio State beat down the Hawkeyes at home.
