Braves' Michael Harris II has taken his game to another level in the postseason

The Major League Baseball postseason is well underway and there have already been plenty of standout performances.

Whether that be the heroics of Milwaukee Brewers star Jackson Chourio or the outstanding pitching performances from those such as Tampa Bay Rays starter Drew Rasmussen or Atlanta Braves reliever Ray Kerr, the postseason has been full of memorable plays.

One player that has stood out above the rest, though, is Braves centerfielder Michael Harris II.

Michael Harris II has been the best player in the postseason

Harris II is exercising his previous postseason demons in a major way this season. In his first two postseason appearances in 2022 and 2023, he went 1-for-27 with five strikeouts.

Fast forward to the 2026 postseason and Harris II has not only been the Braves best player, but the best player in the entire postseason. He is 8-for-20 (.400 avg.) with one double, one triple, one home run, four RBI and four runs scored.

Harris delivered a three-run home run in Game 3 of the NL Wild Card Series and was just a home run away from hitting for the cycle on Sunday in Atlanta's 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has consistently turned in excellent at-bats and been a game changer for the Braves lineup.

Can Michael Harris II continue his success in the remainder of the series?

Atlanta will have a tough test on Tuesday against Yoshinobu Yamamoto, last season's World Series MVP. Harris II, though, has had success against Yamamoto in his career, going 2-for-6 with a walk.

It will certainly be a tough matchup for Harris II, but his previous success against Yamamoto could give him confidence to perform well and possibly lead the Braves to a win and 2-1 series lead.
