With injuries mounting, it's beginning to look like it will be "The Derrick Henry Show" on Sunday in primetime when the Baltimore Ravens travel to the Atlanta Falcons. That is, as long as it's not preempted by another episode of "Bijan Robinson's Masterpiece Theatre."
On Wednesday, ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley noted two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) and wide receivers Rashod Bateman (undisclosed) and Zay Flowers (hamstring) weren't at practice, raising questions about their Week 5 availability.
Jackson sprained his ankle last Sunday against the Tennessee Titans (0-4), while Flowers previously missed a Week 2 home loss to the New Orleans Saints (1-3) with a strained left hamstring. He was unbothered by it in the 24-18 win over the Titans, finishing with eight receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown. Bateman had two receptions for 46 yards last Sunday and has been healthy all season, leaving the possibility open that both wideouts were given lighter workloads in the ramp-up to the "Sunday Night Football" showdown.
Even if both suit up against the Falcons, with Jackson trending toward being unavailable, it could be up to Henry to lead the Ravens to an upset win in one of the best running back battles of the season.
In addition to Lamar Jackson (ankle) missing Wednesday's practice, Ravens WR Zay Flowers (hamstring) was also not practicing.

CB Marlon Humphrey (calf)
WR Rashod Bateman

Henry was already a focal point of Baltimore's offense during a 3-1 start, leading the league in total carries (89). But after rushing for 144 yards in the season opener, he's been held in check with three consecutive games under the century mark, one game shy of his longest streak since joining the Ravens in 2024. Over his past two games, Henry has averaged 3.3 yards per carry on 49 handoffs, his fewest in any two-game span with at least 40 carries since 2022 (Weeks 11-12), per Stathead.
He'll need to turn the page for Baltimore to win, although the Falcons defense presents Henry with his toughest test of the season. Atlanta has only allowed 193 yards on 71 attempts, a measly 2.7 yards per carry. For comparison, seven teams, including the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1 to Baltimore, have already allowed over 200 rushing yards in a single game this season.
The Ravens offensive line could also work against him. On Wednesday, they acquired two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens from the Philadelphia Eagles, but he's not expected to play against the Falcons, according to The Athletic's Ravens reporter Jeff Zrebiec, setting up rookie guard-turned-center Vega Ioane (Baltimore's fourth player at the position since training camp) for a second consecutive start at the position.
When Jurgens is ready to play - and it won't be this wk - he'll be at center w/Vega Ioane returning to right guard.

The Ravens acquired Jurgens to be their center. That is their plan moving forward.
All 3 of their previous center acquisitions (Pinter, Gwyn, Pocic) were on 1-yr…
But few players (outside of Henry's counterpart on Sunday) shine as bright under the primetime microscope. In 12 previous regular-season night games with the Ravens, the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner has rushed for 1,490 yards and 13 touchdowns on 225 carries (6.6 yards per attempt). He's particularly loved "SNF"; in four games, he has 80 carries for 622 yards (7.8 yards per attempt) and five touchdowns.
Robinson, particularly of late, has remarkably been even better in primetime. Over his past three night games dating back to Week 17 last season, the 2023 No. 8 overall pick has 70 carries for 534 rushing yards (7.6 yards per attempt) and five touchdowns.
The Ravens are unlikely to be at full strength when traveling to play the red-hot Falcons, but Henry's history of primetime production shows Baltimore may still be strong enough.
Those tuning in Sunday are bound to witness a show. The only question is whose will it be.
