Miami Heat forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is undoubtedly one of the best NBA players of this generation.
Where he will land in the all-time great conversation remains to be seen, although Antetokounmpo himself has high expectations for his legacy.
Antetokounmpo was talking to a lot of kids, and he said he will be a top-10 player of all time.
“I wasn’t a top pick. I wasn’t Rookie of the Year. I wasn’t all of that. But I’ll tell you one thing, I’m top 20 of all time… I’m gonna get top 10.”

Antetokounmpo is entering his 14th season in the NBA, although this will be his first with the Miami Heat after he was traded by the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason.
Antetokounmpo is a 10-time NBA All-Star, nine-time All-NBA selection (seven first-team selections), and a five-time All-Defensive team selection. He also won a pair of NBA MVP awards and an NBA Finals MVP when the Bucks won the title in 2021.
Antetokounmpo wasn’t a “top pick,” but the Bucks did select him at No. 15 in the 2013 NBA Draft, and he has turned into a bona fide superstar in his decade-plus in the league.
He will turn 32 years old in December, so he still has at least a few years of playing at a high level, which should grow his legacy.
Will Giannis ever be a top-10 player of all time? That answer won’t come for quite some time.
