Dak Prescott takes exception to stadium employee's 'embarrassing' jab after Cowboys loss

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott’s frustrating Thursday night continued in the stadium tunnel after a 24-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to Sam Gannon of KDFW Fox 4, a stadium employee said “embarrassing” as Prescott walked past at AT&T Stadium. The accompanying video shows the quarterback turning his head back toward the speaker.

Video of the interaction emerged on social media.

The exchange followed a disappointing home performance against a previously winless opponent. The Cowboys fell to 2-3, while the Buccaneers earned their first victory after opening the season with four consecutive losses.

Dak Prescott’s late rally falls short against Buccaneers

Prescott completed 24 of 42 passes for 316 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. His connection with George Pickens gave the Cowboys a chance to recover, but the comeback ended before they could force overtime.

Pickens caught nine passes for 130 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown that narrowed the deficit to 24-16 with 5:26 remaining. The Cowboys failed on the ensuing two-point attempt.

The Cowboys’ final opportunity ended when Alex Anzalone intercepted a Prescott pass that deflected off Jake Ferguson’s hands.

Tampa Bay seized control much earlier. After trailing 10-7 at halftime, they outscored Dallas 17-0 in the third quarter, when home fans began booing.

Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels completed 19 of 25 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown in his second start while Baker Mayfield remained sidelined. Bucky Irving supplied a career-high 165 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns, one on the ground and the other through the air.

The tunnel moment added a tense postscript to a loss that left the Cowboys below .500 and turned a promising halftime position into another missed opportunity.
