Eagles make final Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith decisions for Jaguars game

The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-2 and set to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5 in London.

Philadelphia is coming off two straight losses to the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams, and the chances of a Week 5 win took a major hit after the latest injury news on Friday.

Eagles to be without DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley

The Eagles were already down six starters for the game against the Rams.

In that game, Saquon Barkley suffered an injury, and now neither Barkley nor wide receiver DeVonta Smith will be available on Sunday, according to John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Neither Barkley nor Smith practiced on Thursday, which signaled that it was very likely that both stars would be absent for Week 5.

Smith also missed the Week 4 game against the Rams, so the offense now has two star players nursing injuries just a month into the season.

In Smith's absence, it was Darius Cooper who had seven targets with three receptions and a pair of touchdowns against the Rams. Rookie Makai Lemon had six targets with three catches for 27 yards, so there is plenty of work to do with Smith out once again.

In Barkley's absence, Tank Bigsby is the next man up, and he had 14 carries for 55 yards in Week 4.
