Angel Reese and Sabrina Ionescu shared an incendiary moment during Friday’s WNBA semifinals Game 3 between the New York Liberty and Atlanta Dream.
Ionescu was called for an offensive foul on a hard screen to Isobel Borlase midway through the second quarter at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Reese took exception to the play, which involved Ionescu delivering a forearm shiver to shed Borlase.
Reese ran from the baseline and got into Ionescu’s face, telling the Liberty star repeatedly, “Don’t do that.”
Dream veteran Rhyne Howard got in between the two stars and shoved Ionescu, but the pair continued barking.

Reese ultimately got the last laugh. With a spot in the WNBA Finals on the line, Reese put up 22 points, 9 rebounds and two blocks in an 85-83 win over the Liberty.
Ionescu struggled in the elimination game, finishing 4/12 from the field for 12 points as New York got swept out of the playoffs.
Reese may have her fair share of haters, but she did help lead the Dream to the WNBA Finals in her third season as a pro.
