The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs enter Saturday’s matchup vs. the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide with injury concerns limiting their offensive depth.
After missing two consecutive games with a leg injury, starting wide receiver Isiah Canion entered the week listed as questionable. Friday’s update brought unwelcome news for the Bulldogs offense.
On3’s Pete Nakos shared an update Friday on X, formerly Twitter, confirming the junior pass-catcher had been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Crimson Tide.
"Georgia starting WR Isiah Canion has been ruled out against Alabama," Nakos said.

Canion has been dealing with a leg injury he sustained during the first quarter at Arkansas. He missed the Bulldogs’ previous two games, and Friday’s update extends his absence to a third consecutive contest.
The Georgia Tech transfer has three receptions for 28 yards through three appearances with Georgia this season. His limited production follows a larger role with the Yellow Jackets in 2025, when he started all 12 games and finished with 33 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns.
Canion’s absence adds to a receiving group already missing Thomas Blackshear, who is out with an upper-body injury. With both receivers unavailable, the Bulldogs head into Saturday without two options in the passing game.
Running back Chauncey Bowens is also out, extending the injury concerns beyond the receiving corps. Georgia must navigate the trip without those three skill-position players, while offensive lineman Marcus Harrison is unavailable as well.
The absences also affect the defense. Outside linebacker Amaris Williams and safety Tyriq Green round out the Bulldogs’ list of players ruled out on Friday’s report.
Alabama has their own availability concerns. Linebackers Justin Hill, Desmond Umeozulu and Cayden Jones are out, along with defensive back Nick Sherman and defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman.
Defensive back Jorden Edmonds and tight end Josh Ford remain questionable for the Crimson Tide, leaving their availability unresolved heading into Saturday.
For Georgia, Friday’s update settles Canion’s status and confirms another week without the transfer receiver.
The Bulldogs visit Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, with the game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, or 4:30 p.m. PT.
