Angel Reese admits what has to change after Dream's Game 1 loss to Valkyries in WNBA Finals

Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream are in the WNBA Finals, and that's really a dream, pun intended. But things didn't go as planned in the team's Game 1 against the Golden State Valkyries, and the Dream dropped the first game of the series, 68-64.

Now, they're heading into Game 2 on Monday with that disadvantage. But Dream star player Angel Reese is well aware of what went wrong, and speaking to the press after the game, she talked about what she's going to do going forward to fix it.

Angel Reese admits she needs to be more aggressive in Game 2

After the game, reporters asked Reese about her quieter second half after her explosive first half. Speaking about that difference, Reese said that she wasn't aggressive enough on offense and that she would be changing that.

"I don't think they (Valkyries) really did anything (to slow Reese down in the second half of the game). Maybe that was just on me," Reese told reporters. "I wasn't aggressive enough with the ball… So, definitely going to do a better job of that next game."

So, Reese says she's going to work on being more aggressive in Game 2. Reese finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds and two steals in 35 minutes during the loss. Allisha Gray was another player who had a quiet end to the game. She had 19 points in the matchup but didn't score in the fourth quarter at all, according to ESPN research.

On Golden State's side, Gabby Williams had the most points on the team with 26. She also made four free throws in the last 1:18 of the game that really helped seal the victory.
