Prior to their season opener on Thursday, the last time the Cleveland Cavaliers took the floor for a meaningful game was when they were wiped off the floor in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks.
That series saw Cleveland blow a 22-point fourth quarter lead in Game 1 that shifted the entire momentum in the favor of New York and helped it compete a four-game sweep.
Thursday, the Cavaliers opened their season on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers, and it was yet another massive blown lead that has set the tone for their upcoming season.
Cleveland carried a 69-45 lead into halftime and even had the Philadelphia crowd booing its team off the court. That soon changed, though, as it was the 76ers getting the upper hand in the second half, outscoring the Cavaliers 69-37 on the way to a 114-106 win.
The blown second half lead was an all-too familiar sight for Cleveland fans who will now questions their team's ability to hold any lead in crunch-time situations.

A 29-point comeback doesn't happen without a star performance and Philadelphia got that from its star point guard Tyrese Maxey. Maxey had a game-high 32 points along with two steals, three rebounds and six assists.
Maxey has now turned in back-to-back outstanding performances in the 76ers first two games of the season. He's averaging 30 points on 50% shooting and is a major reason that the new-look Philly team has won its first two games.
