Jacob Misiorowski was not a fan of the conditions on the road during Wednesday’s World Series game.
The Milwaukee Brewers ace Misiorowski drew the start on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays in a potential close-out Game 5. But from the early going at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., Misiorowski encountered some drama.
FOX’s broadcast showed Misiorowski instructing the grounds crew to work on the mound in between innings. Misiorowski even took time in the middle of an at-bat during the first inning to request that the mound be fixed.

The problem still persisted for Misiorowski after that though. Video even went viral of Misiorowski slipping on the mound during a warmup pitch before the second inning (see the clip here). As a result, he had to direct the grounds crew to work on the mound before every half-inning that he pitched.
Misiorowski, the 24-year-old righty flamethrower, stands 6-foot-7. He also has a very long pitching stride, which sometimes causes issues with his landing (particularly when pitching on the road).
That said, Misiorowski was still sharp to start off Game 5, allowing just two hits and one walk over four scoreless innings to begin the contest. That continued on what has been a breathtaking October so far for The Miz.
