The Kansas City Chiefs finally suffered their first loss of the season against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. Now, they have a chance to come out of it with a quick win when the team takes on the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce talked about the 20-3 loss to the Seahawks on his "New Heights" podcast, and he didn't sound happy about it.
"You can't be okay with being mediocre or looking around like, 'I wasn't the reason.' You got to .... have a nasty, and just a disgusting taste in ... losing in this league. And find the ... answers," he said.
Kelce added, "And all that means is you gotta go to work. And that started today. I'll be damned if we go out there and have another [expletive] showing like that again. I can promise you that."
Well, one concern that the Chiefs have been dealing with is Kelce's health. He showed up on the team's injury report as limited on Thursday. Kelce has been dealing with an ankle injury since the Chiefs played against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6. The team, however, announced good news on Kelce on Friday.
The Chiefs released their official Week 8 injury report and listed Kelce as a full participant. He doesn't have any injury designation. That's great news for the Chiefs, and it looks like he will be available to play on Sunday.
Through his games with the Chiefs this season, Kelce has notched 24 receptions for 343 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a massive four-catch, 44-yard showing in the Chiefs' loss to the Seahawks.
