The Las Vegas Raiders’ failed attempt to trade Maxx Crosby was one of the bigger stories of the NFL offseason. Based on a new report, however, there is no sequel in the works.

Crosby does not want to leave the Raiders “under any circumstances,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. A source told Schefter that Crosby hopes to remain a “Raider for life.”

Similarly, the Raiders have no intention of entertaining any trade offers for Crosby ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. The team has not had any discussions about Crosby’s future with other teams, and their stance is not expected to change even if they receive offers.

Crosby’s relationship with the Raiders briefly fractured late last season when the team opted to shut him down early due to injury, a move that did not go down well with Crosby himself. The team had a deal in place to send him to the Baltimore Ravens, but the Ravens backed out due to medical concerns. Despite plenty of rumors, the Raiders never seemed to try all that hard to ship Crosby to another team after that deal fell through.

In fairness to Crosby, he never completely swore off the Raiders, even after he thought he had been dealt. It is not all that shocking that the two sides managed to move on from their issues and are on good terms now.

The Raiders have lost four straight games after a surprising 3-0 start to the season. The veteran edge rusher has two sacks on the year thus far.
