The Green Bay Packers are standing by their man.

Green Bay has decided to stick with star running back Josh Jacobs, even in spite of the latest allegations that have surfaced against him. Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports that the Packers only became aware of said allegations after new police records released last week unearthed them.

Those new records showed that at least three other women contacted police about alleged abuse that they had suffered at the hands of Jacobs. Those purported incidents occurred in 2021 and in 2022 and involved multiple instances of alleged domestic violence by Jacobs (read the full details here).

Those women reportedly contacted police after learning of Jacobs’ arrest in May of this year on five domestic battery-related charges for an incident involving his then-girlfriend. Jacobs pleaded no contest to the charges in September but spent six total games on the Commissioner’s Exempt List while the NFL was conducting their own investigation into the situation.

The former NFL rushing yards leader Jacobs, 28, was then removed from the list in late October and immediately became eligible to return to the Packers as a result. He has since appeared in the last two games for Green Bay, reclaiming his RB1 role and rushing for a total of 75 yards and one touchdown.

Jacobs’ attorneys have since issued a vehement denial of the latest allegations against the three-time Pro Bowler. But even before these new allegations broke, Jacobs was already drawing negative press for his controversial touchdown celebration in the wake of his original case.
