Angel Reese apparently needs some time to decompress after taking an L in the WNBA Finals.
The Atlanta Dream star Reese announced over social media on Monday that she will be taking a step back from the spotlight this offseason. Reese said that she will not be doing any episodes of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast and added that she would be spending her time in Florida over the offseason to recharge.
Here is a screenshot of Reese’s post, which she made from her alternate Instagram account @barbieeearchive before going private.

Reese, 24, had a successful third season in the WNBA, earning All-Star, All-WNBA, and Defensive Player of the Year honors before helping lead the Dream to the WNBA Finals. But Atlanta would go on to lose a heartbreaker to the Golden State Valkyries in a hard-fought seven game Finals series.
Immediately after the loss, Reese sent a notable three-word message. But now it appears that we will not be hearing much else from her over the next several months.
All things considered, that is probably a wise decision by Reese. After all, she brought a lot of mockery onto herself with a lot of talking and taunting in the middle of the Finals vs. the Valkyries … only for her team to end up losing.
