Things continue to go from bad to worse for the Baltimore Ravens regarding their quarterback situation for at least the rest of the 2026 season.
On Wednesday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Ravens quarterback Tyler Huntley won't play again this season due to the toe injury he suffered in Baltimore's 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday. Earlier in that game, Baltimore QB1 Lamar Jackson went down with an injury to the thumb on his throwing hand that left him needing surgery and could keep him sidelined through the remainder of the campaign.
Undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano will start for the 4-4 Ravens when they host the 5-2 Jacksonville Jaguars this Thursday night. Shortly after the Huntley news broke, DraftKings Sportsbook listed Baltimore as a 10-point underdog against Jacksonville.
Meanwhile, previous stories linked the Ravens with Chicago Bears backup Tyson Bagent and Jacoby Brissett of the Arizona Cardinals. Bagent allegedly "won't be cheap" to acquire before the NFL trade deadline arrives at 4:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 10. However, the Cardinals recently relegated Brissett to QB3 duties and, thus, may take whatever they can get for him.
For what it's worth, a Wednesday story hinted that the Ravens could call the Indianapolis Colts about starter Daniel Jones. The struggling Colts are in the middle of a fire sale, and it's possible that neither Jones nor head coach Shane Steichen has a future with that organization beyond this season.
It was suggested earlier this week that New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh could call the Ravens, his former team, about a possible trade for running back Derrick Henry if Baltimore decides after the Jacksonville game that now is the time to pick up draft assets for veteran players. For an article published on Wednesday morning, ESPN's Dan Graziano shared that Henry is a running back to "keep half an eye on" for a possible trade.
"Henry is turning 33 in January," Graziano wrote. "He is scheduled to earn $12M next year, and none of that money is guaranteed. If he isn't in Baltimore's plans beyond this year, the Ravens could find themselves fielding offers over the next week. Henry's base salary this year is just $1.255M (he made the rest of this year's $14M via bonuses the Ravens have already paid), so he'd be extremely easy for another team to absorb onto its cap. Not sure how realistic this is, but it's something to keep an eye on, especially if the Ravens lose to the Jaguars on Thursday night."
Along with the Giants, the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings have been mentioned as possible landing spots for a running back.
