A player on the South Florida Bulls women’s basketball team has the internet stunned with her bizarre shooting form from the free-throw line.

In the second quarter of South Florida’s game against the Furman Paladins on Monday at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla., junior forward Kendall Puryear went to the charity stripe for two shots.

What followed was something you wouldn’t see a shooting coach teach.

Here is a video showing Puryear’s unorthodox shooting form, in which she releases the ball from way behind her head, as though she were tossing a sack into the air.

The results of Puryear’s shots were what you’d expect from such an awkward release — absolute bricks.

It goes without saying that Puryear isn’t an accurate shooter from the foul line, where she shot just 58.2% in two years with the Purdue Boilermakers before transferring to South Florida.

Opposing teams can target her in close situations and take advantage of her poor free-throw form with a Hack-a-Shaq strategy, but Furman wasn’t the team to use that tactic, as the Paladins lost in blowout fashion,

In any case, Puryear was among the top performers in the Bulls’ 80-54 win over Furman, scoring 12 points on 6/13 shooting with nine rebounds, four assists and three steals in 28 minutes of action.
