Dolly Parton was a giant in the country music scene, and one of the most beloved celebrities of the modern era due to her music, acting, personality and philanthropy. It sent shockwaves and sadness through the entertainment world when she died in late August.
Nowhere was that sadness felt more than in Nashville, the capital of country music.
That is the inspiration behind a new goalie mask for the Nashville Predators ' Juuse Saros that pays tribute to the country music icon.
Saros' new mask was painted by famed goalie mask artist Dave Gunnarsson.
Here is a look at it.

Saros has spent his entire 12-year career to this point with the Predators, and been the team's full-time starter since the start of the 2020-21 season. He has been a focal point of the organization for years and a big part of the community. So it makes some sense that he would do something that would appeal to the city.
In 478 career games he has won 234 for the Predators and posted a .912 save percentage, including a career-high .927 mark during the 2020-21 season. His second-highest single season save percentage came during the 2017-18 season, and was a very fitting .925 mark.
