Derrick Henry shuts down trade request after Ravens' blowout loss to Jaguars

The Baltimore Ravens are now 4-5 after a 33-10 blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Baltimore on Thursday night.

Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley are out for the foreseeable future, and undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano didn't do much at all.

As a result, trade rumors increased regarding star running back Derrick Henry. But the five-time Pro Bowler strongly shut down any talks of him asking to be dealt.

"I have not mentioned me going anywhere else. I’m saying, ‘Let’s go back to work. Let’s try to get better and turn this thing around,'" Henry said, via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

The question asked was whether or not Henry sees himself being in Baltimore past the Nov. 10 deadline. And, as of now, it seems Henry doesn't want to go elsewhere, although things could change over the next few days.

Ravens getting interest in Derrick Henry

With the Ravens trending in the wrong direction, it was reported that they are getting interest in a trade for Henry.

The next question is whether or not Baltimore wants to move on from the talented running back.

Henry has still been productive, rushing for 689 yards with 8 touchdowns. Even though he is on the other side of 30, he could still produce at a high level.

Henry began the year with touchdowns in each of the first four games, but the injuries to Jackson and Huntley have significantly changed the offense, which could end up with Henry leaving town.

On one hand, Baltimore's season took a major blow with Jackson likely to miss the rest of the year. The Ravens did acquire Jacoby Brissett, but that might not be enough to bring them back to the postseason.

There are plenty of RB-needy teams, and a team eager for a Super Bowl run could benefit from acquiring Henry.
