At the 'Big Week Bull Riding' Xtreme Bulls, none other than Luke Mast took home the win after covering two bulls with style. He placed No. 7 in the first round with his 81 point ride. He came back as the champion of round 2 with an 85.5 point ride aboard Corey and Lange Rodeo's Bull they call Stand By Me. His combined score of 166.5 on two head won him the average as the only man to ride two bulls successfully.

The 23-year-old has continued to make strides in the bull-riding world this year. In February he won the San Antonio Xtreme Bulls. This is his second year on the Xtreme Bull Riding Tour and is currently no.11 in the PRCA World Standings Race. He is hoping to stay inside that top 15 to make his first appearance at the Nationals Finals Rodeo (NFR) in December in Las Vegas.

Rodeo Salinas is an all-time favorite rodeo and California's richest. This year, contestants are competing for a prize purse exceeding $500,000. The Salinas Rodeo dates back over a century to its inception in 1911 as the Wild West Show and continues its storied tradition.

The 2024 edition of the Big Week Bull Riding in Salinas was a sold-out show on July 17. As a part of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls Tour, the event pulled in many of the best bull rider in the world. After the show, fans got to enjoy a firework show which helped kick off Rodeo Salinas that runs July 18 - 21 of 2024.
