Women's Skateboard Street today in Paris was a heated battle under the Parisienne sun--a far cry from yesterday's rain-out. At the end of the finals, it was a group of teenagers holding medals. Japan's Coco Yoshizawa took the Gold, followed by Liz Akama with Silver, and Rayssa Leal with Bronze.
Believe it or not, the average podium age is 15--feel old yet?
Coco put down a wild bigspin flip to frontside boardslide early on to put on top with points. After the deal had been sealed, she still had one more attempt, the "victory lap," and she laid down a perfect frontside hurricane to straight down the big rail. Congrats Coco, we'll be seeing you in many more Olympic Games to come.
