Curren Caples Hits Bristol to Talk Skateboarding and His New Signature Vans Shoe With Route One

The conversation gives us a proper glimpse into Curren’s world—far beyond the excitement of having his name on a Vans silhouette for the first time. If you’ve followed his career since his early days like many of us have, you could say it’s all been a long time coming. Still feels like he's just getting started, too! 

TWS' head honcho, Blair Alley spent a few days out in the desert for the initial launch of Curren's shoe, and it looked like a good time, to say the very least. Skateboarding, champagne, caviar, wave pools—Vans went all out. But are we surprised? Yes, I said skateboarding, champagne and caviar.

I've said it before and I'll happily say it again—if anyone deserves a signature Vans shoe, it's obviously Curren. The dude has been a powerhouse since he was pint-sized and is bound to go down in skateboarding as one of the best. His talent, style and grit are undeniable. He's been part of the Vans family forever, too. So, yeah. Super well-deserved!
