In his latest video part, French powerhouse Lawrence Ravail puts the new Ace AF1 Inverted trucks to the test in the best way possible—a full on, all-terrain assault. The dude skates some heavy spots and his power, style and deep bag of tricks are all on full display here. Are the trucks worth the hype? Well, Lawrence is here to make his case. Take a look:
As far as field tests are concerned, filming an entire video part is certainly one way to approach it. Gotta respect the ambition. I will say this—they seem to work pretty well on all types of terrain. Big drops, banks, ledges, hubbas. It's all there.
Ace calls the AF1 Inverted “the best skateboarding truck in the world,” and while that’s a bold claim, this edit does its best to back it up. But, yeah—that's for you guys to decide. They seem to work for Lawrence, though!
Whether you’re sold on the “best in the world” title or not, there’s no arguing that Lawrence puts these trucks through the wringer—and came out swinging. It's no surprise pretty much every other skate truck company in the game is now offering inverted kingpins, too. Gotta give the people what they want.
Once again, ACE is proud to introduce the most technical and performance driven truck to date with a revolutionary inverted kingpin system. Engineered for maximum durability, unrivaled performance, precision tuning and guaranteed lowest grind clearance of any kingpin on the market.
At the heart of our design is a patent pending technology providing a more stable anchor point for the kingpin. Our innovative hollowed axle system and domed-out baseplate make it the strongest and lightest truck we've ever created. This cutting edge design sets a new standard for the future of skateboard trucks.
Hit your local shop and see if they're carrying Ace's new AF1 Inverted trucks. Maybe this is your sign to make the switch? But hey, maybe not. Learn more here.
