etnies Reissues a '90s Classic with Modern Day Skateboarding in Mind

Originally released in 1993, the etnies Locut is one of those shoes that simply oozes nostalgia. And even though it's been back for a few months, the latest colorway of the shoe will really shoot you back to that golden era of mid-90s skateboarding. Get a closer look at these classic kicks below.

"A durable upper that is a mix of action leather and suede with a mesh tongue for extra breathability," etnies mentions. "Some say it's mustard, some say it's yellow. We say it's golden."

Okay, but back to the shoe. It has all the look and feel of the OG—a mellow tongue, minimal paneling, and that iconic “E” on the side—but now features modern cupsole construction, upgraded cushioning, and a fit made for actual skating.

"A retro look and feel with modern tweaks, the Locut is ready to inspire the next generation of skateboarders," etnies promises. "This shoe marked a new direction in skate shoe design in the early 90s, and it's back to make it's mark once again."
